Internet Banking services are offered to its customers from the Bank of Baroda Botswana Ltd’s  (BOBB) website https://intl.bobibanking.com/intl/botswana/botswana.htm.    BOBB is strongly committed to protect the  privacy of the personal information of its customers, including information that is of a confidential nature for  a customer availing any of the internet banking services by using this website.

 

BOBB has taken all necessary and reasonable measures to protect the confidentiality of the customer information and its transmission through the internet banking portal and it shall not be held liable for any disclosure of the confidential information in accordance with this Privacy Statement or  disclosure as decided by the Bank as per the terms and conditions.

 

BOBB endeavours to safeguard and ensure the security of the information provided by the Customer. BOBB uses 128-bit Secured Socket Layer  encryption, for the transmission of the information, which is the highest permitted level of password encryption

 

Customer is required to co-operate with BOBB in order to ensure the complete security of the information, and it is recommended that the customers necessarily choose their passwords carefully such that no unauthorised access is made by a third party. To make the password complex and difficult for others to guess, the customers should use at least one lower case character, one upper case character, one numeric character and one special character (like /, [, -, =, +, !, #, $, etc,).

 

The customers should undertake not to disclose their password to anyone or keep any written or other record of the password such that a third party could access it.

 

The customer should not keep Easy Guess Passwords  (i.e., passwords such as spouse's first name, favourite team, etc.).
